WORKTECH18 Munich Keynote

6.1.2018
Jen Üner

Our own Mary Ann de Lares Norris, VP EMEA, will be speaking at WORKTECH18 Munich on June 27th at Microsoft's new Technology Centre.

WORKTECH18 Munich is the forum for those involved in the future of work and the workplace. Our own Mary Ann de Lares Norris will be addressing attendees in her talk; ‘Win-Win: the impact of measurable ROI in the new workplace’. Her presentation will explore how companies must develop new kinds of workspaces for their employees to foster innovation and remain competitive in today’s marketplace, and how they need to be inspired by tangible results in order to be convinced that the investment is worthwhile.

Mary Ann explains:

Employees know they must adopt new tools and technologies to remain competitive in the marketplace. Yet change can be hard, and a big investment for a company on only a promise of increased returns. In my talk, I will illustrate the Win-Win of measurable ROI derived from these new kinds of workspaces, which increase employee effectiveness—delivering tangible returns to both the employee and the corporate bottom line. I’m looking forward to sharing some dynamic, real-world examples from companies such as PwC, JLL, and Holder Construction with the WORKTECH audience.

WORKTECH18 Munich is a unique one-day conference with leading thinkers coming together to debate the new world of work, exploring new trends and technologies that will transform the way we work. 100+ senior level professionals from IT, HR, real estate, workplace, facilities, leadership, operations, finance and innovation as well as architects and designers, will attend to explore the future of work and the workplace.

Mary Ann de Lares Norris joins an impressive line-up of established thought-leaders on the future workplace, including confirmed speakers James Grose, Principal, BVN Architects; Sebastian Hild, IoT Smart Buildings Lead, Microsoft; Matthew Marson, Consultant, Connected Spaces Practice, Accenture and Michael Grosam, Senior Director Corporate Workplace Services, Adidas.  Following the one-day conference on June 27, Oblong will host the official WORKTECH18 Munich after-party at our office nearby, which opened in May 2017. Like Microsoft, the Oblong office is located in the heart of Munich’s Parkstadt Schwabing area, home of the city’s most innovative tech companies. At the after-party, refreshments will be provided and the Oblong team will be on hand to demonstrate Mezzanine, featuring several system configurations scaled to address different use-cases for enterprise workspaces large and small.
